"Conversation is about those who know shutting up while those that know fuck all talk shit all day."

While you might have felt very clever when you typed that out, it makes no fucking sense whatsoever.

There are few absolute truths. But one is the planet will die.

In the mean time it will go through a huge number of chops and changes as it's always done and any human who thinks they can make a difference is an arrogant, know nothing cunt.

May as well enjoy ourselves while we can as opposed to being miserable cunts.

This could have been written 2000 years ago.

If they aren't protesting about fracking they'd find something else to protest against. Remember all the fuss about genetically engineered crops.

I wonder if people had the same argument before coal mines were first introduced? People seem pretty pissed off when they were closed so you'd have thought they'd be happy about the creation of jobs.

Fuck it, lets kill off all wildlfe, chop down every tree and generally fuck the planet up instead of maybe using less and / or alternative forms of energy.

Morons.

Re: Fracking
The problem with Fracking is that it is driven by big Business and anything driven by Big business deserves some questioning.
Fracking in the short term will do no damage but like sugar fat or Alcohol to the human body over time lets say in the case of damage to the environment with fracking 100-250 years down the line who knows, yes we will all be dead but our baby's baby's baby's baby's baby's baby's may have to swallow the consequences.
Nothing is 100% guaranteed and drilling into the ground in my mind is not an insignificant thing even if it benefits the UK with plentiful energy.

They are against all energy generation. Because they don't understand if you want stuff you have to break, and fuck up, other stuff. It's one of the laws of the universe. You can't have order in one place unless a greater amount of disorder is created elsewhere.

The Greens are just an echo of UKIP.

Re: Fracking
Like all things in the current world we live in, this is going to be profit driven over any other considerations. The risks are contamination of the water supply, the amount of water required to process and sustain the operation and all the potential other health risks which to be fair are unproven conclusively to date, however it is a relatively new industry and we can predict there will be long term implications which we have not yet been seen. The fact that UKIP were 100% behind this as a solution to the energy issues should be enough to send alarm bells ringing!

I never understand why, when the power of the internet is readily available at their fingertips, some people choose to post dumb questions onto forums like this one and make themselves look completely like fucking stupid cunts rather than just quietly and privately research the topic themselves.

Re: Fracking
"Fracking for shale gas in the UK will not have "any effect" on gas prices, Ed Davey, the energy secretary has said".

Why would the people of this country accept the potential risks and damage to the environment of Fracking if there is no tangible benefit to the people of this country?

I used to work with Ian Crane , at Schlumberger when we used to perform huge vertical fracs in the North Sea and Germany, it's probably why all the Germans are walking round with tumours and their eyes falling out.

Anyway the cost of drilling onshore vertical or horizontal in the Uk is going up because of the security operations that are having to be set up to take care of the activists, because Special Branch think they won't be able to tell the difference between the two.

It comes with some minor risks - lower risks that having to rely on the Middle East or Russia for energy supplies.
